GMC Embraces Integrated Project Delivery (IPD):  GMC is very excited to be involved in IPD being employed on projects today, including Lean construction, Design Assist and Collaboration, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). GMC's Management Team (The Command Team) attacks projects up front, collaborating early on with the Project Team to help ensure a successful, cost effective project, ahead of schedule. This is just one more example of how we embrace change and lead innovation in the building construction industry.

AISC Seismic Provisions and AWS D1.8 Seismic Supplement: GMC implemented the latest AISC Seismic Provisions and D1.8 Seismic Supplement into its management, quality control, and fabrication systems. GMC also sits on the AISC Seismic Connection Board and is AISC Certified. GMC continues its commitment to high quality and leads the structural steel industry in technical know how.

Completion of San Francisco Airport, Terminal 2: Structural steel erection is complete.  This project included retrofit of existing steel, unbonded braces, and trusses. GMC easily tackles challenging projects.

Completion of Solyndra:  Structural steel delivery is complete.  This project included unbonded braces, tree columns, and was all prime painted.  GMC fabricated, painted, and delivered over 4,800 tons of structural steel for this project in a period of 3 months to meet an expedited delivery schedule for the Owner.

K2 Salt to Bleach Processing Plant is in Progress:  GMC has began fabrication on this industrial project.  The structural and miscellaneous steel on this project is entirely galvanized.  The project also includes steel and fiberglass reinforced plastic stairs, rails, ladders, and grating, electric isolators, and pipe racks.

OSHPD Hospital Projects In Progress:
GMC regularly provides structural steel on OSHPD Hospital Projects.  These projects fall under the stringent requirements of California Office of State Health Planning and Development (OSHPD).  
GMC is currently fabricating the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, a 3,900 ton project utilizing Side Plate Moment Frames.
GMC is gearing up for erection on the Clovis Community Medical Center, a 1,732 ton project also utilizing Side Plate Moment Frames.
Finally, GMC is currently fabricating the Kaiser Oakland Replacement Hospital, an 8,500 ton projects utilizing Unbonded Braced Frame system.  GMC participated as a design assist contractor for well over 1 1/2 years on this project prior to entering the construction phase of the project.
